Back to reality: the new workwear rules

Wednesday, September 4, 2019

Summer is officially over, and whilst we’re just as sad about it as you, we can’t help but get super excited about a new season wardrobe. As with all new outfits, you need a suitable runway and where’s better than the office or college/uni (after all, we still gotta hustle). This Autumn/Winter it’s time to adopt some new rules.

Firstly, get yourself reacquainted with a pinafore; super versatile with t-shirts, jumpers and blouses. Layer up for 9-5, then wear it solo for 5 ‘til wine. Winner.

Co-ordinate and thank us later. Not only does a matching two-piece look oh-so-chic, but it can see you through any event, be it work or class, with simply the change of shoe.

Jumpsuits are your outfit dilemma saviour. Sport a boiler-suit and trainers for those 9am classes post night out, or smarten up a jumpsuit with a blazer. We’re particularly fond of this utility drawstring number

An obvious choice for workwear, but a blouse doesn’t have to be boring. This season wear cute peplum styles with jeans or trousers, or team utility or checked shirts over t-shirts for that cool-I-just-rolled-out-of-bed (seriously) vibe.

Lastly, let’s talk dresses. A sure fire hit for work or college, pair tea dresses with roll necks for a colder climate, whilst midis are your transitional hero. Bonus points for anything floral which looks cute but chic.
