New Year’s Eve Outfits Worth Making Plans For

Wednesday, December 18, 2019

No pressure, but it’s almost the biggest night of the year and, whether you love it or think it’s overrated, you’ll still need a great outfit to see you through the evening. We’ve pulled together the ultimate looks for any event so the only thing you need to worry about is what social situation you want to commit to. You can thank us later.

Club Night

Calling all party animals – this is your last chance to see out the year (and the decade!) with a good old boogie. We insist on sparkles, sequins and/or crushed velvet. More is more when it comes to a club night on NYE, so don’t hold back and accessorise with glitzy, statement earrings and high heels. Extra? Yes. Are we here for it? Definitely.

Netflix & Chill

Sometimes there’s nothing better than getting in your comfies and enjoying NYE from the comfort of your sofa, so curl up in your best loungewear ready for a night of Netflix. We’re obsessed with these neutral coloured co-ords that are also great to mix and match whenever you fancy a movie marathon. Complete the look with some trainers just in case you need to run out for late-night snacks.

Watching Fireworks

What’s New Year’s Eve without a firework display? Snuggle up with cosy knits and puffer jackets to beat the chill. We’re loving this khaki number for its versatility and major warmth factor. Wear it with classic jeans and a chunky knit, completing the outfit with trainers and woolly headbands to keep you toasty as you watch the night light up.

House Party

When going out-out isn’t your vibe and staying in also isn’t a thing, then a house party is the best way to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Whether it’s a house party with family or friends, keep it casual but cool in leather leggings and a bodysuit. An all-black palette is always a winner, accessorised with statement earrings and printed boots. Seeing in 2020 in style!

The Pub

Grab your besties and head for a night of celebrations down the local. Bring in the New Year channelling that laid-back luxe wearing a faux-leather mini skirt and floral blouse. The pub is still an excuse to get dressed up so finish your look with novelty earrings and headbands, ‘cos it is the end of the decade after all…

Black Tie Ball

The end of 2019 calls for quite the party, so if you’re attending the event of (quite literally) the year, you’re gonna need quite the outfit. For this black-tie ball, adorn yourself in a beaded maxi dress. Match your accessories to your dress with subtle diamante earrings and minimal heels. Trust us, your dress will do the talking. And when your carriage arrives (hopefully a little later than midnight), swan off in a faux-fur teddy coat. An outfit fit for a princess, you might say…
